Heatons and Reddish Reporter

SMALL businesses in Reddish and the Heatons could soon find themselves on the Information Superhighway - if local entrepeneur Dave Hudson has his way.

Computer expert Dave has just started up his own business, Hudson Communications Ltd, which is aimed at helping firms make the most of cutting-edge technology.

"The business has three main aims. Firstly, we can offer advice to businesses used to working with paper based information and help them move over to computerised methods. Also, we can help people who already use computers to expand and move forwards."

"The most exciting part of the company is our Web design service. Many businesses don't realise that advertising on the Internet is cheaper and usually more effective than conventional newspaper advertising, so we design internet web sites especially for each customer."

"This is a very good time to take advantage of what the 'Information Superhighway' has to offer because it is very fashionable at the moment."

And Dave hopes that local businesses will make the most of the new technology.

"It would be great to have all the things that Reddish has to offer on the Internet, and because we are just around the corner, we can offer instant support if things go wrong"

" I've enjoyed the challenges of working in the computer industry and am keen to offer my experience to the people of Reddish."
